Question

Why are arteries deep seated

Open in App
Solution

Arteries are deep seated to prevent them from any damage. As even a minor demage in the arteries may result in the loss of lot of blood due to the high pressure of blood in arteries and arteries carry oxygen rich blood and loss of oxygenated blood can prove detrimental to our body.
while in case of the veins, they are located superficially as the pressure inside them is very low and contain deoxygenated blood.. Also their superficial location helps in efficient flow of blood in them by muscular relaxation and contraction in our body.
