why are endemic organisms in greater danger of becoming extinct

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Endemic species, or animals and plants that are restricted to a relatively small area, such as an island, are more prone to extinction. They cannot adapt themselves outside there habitat. Changes in their habitat or losses to their populations can eliminate them.
