Open in App
Solution

Homogametic:

  1. The organs of the female reproductive system are specialized in the production of ova (eggs), the transport of egg cells to the fertilisation site, provision of a suitable environment for the growth of embryos &, at the appropriate time, transfer of offspring outside the body (birth).
  2. The gametes of females contain two X chromosomes, hence it is said to be homogametic as both the gametes formed are the same. (XX-Female)
