Solution
Animals are considered to be endangered when their population reduces down to a very low number and they face a possible near extinction in the immediate future. Nowadays, there are more and more animals becoming endangered because of the following reasons:
1. Habitat loss - human activities including expansion of their own residential, industrial and agricultural related use of lands requires clearing off of the forests. This also extends to various types of other areas that otherwise harbour animals including oceans, ponds and lakes etc. This causes their habitat loss.
2. Pollution of air, water, land and noise - All affect the animals adversely. Many animals don't posses much tolerance for these factors and may die in contaminated environment.
3. Hunting and poaching of animals for recreational and commercial purposes.
4. Imbalance or disruption of natural food chain- this occurs due to habitat loss and hunting or clearing off of the natural food eaten by them.
