Question

Why are plastids not found in animal cell?

Open in App
Solution

Animals lack plastids (chloroplast) because they do not synthesise their own food. They depend on other plants and animals for food. The other plastids (chromoplast and leucoplast) are also not required by animals as animals don't exhibit different colours.
