  1. Plants are important for the survival of living organisms as they absorb CO2 and release O2.
  2. They are also the main producers of food because of the presence of chlorophyll pigment.
  3. They provide us with day-to-day life things such as wood, timber, paper, etc.
  4. They are the producers in the food chain and disturbance at this level will lead to the disturbance of the complete food chain. Therefore, plants are important.
