Question

Why are the rear wheels in a truck more broader as compared to the front wheels

Open in App
Solution

It is because most of the weight of these vehicles is towards the rear axle. thus to prevent the tire from sinking in the ground or to prevent damage to the road, broader wheels are provided in rear side in comparision of front side, broader double wheels at rear side increase the area of cross section and hence decreases the pressure and because of this it will become easy to drive on soft roads with less pressure on the road.
