Solution

Answer:

Areas having heavy rainfall will have thick and dense vegetation when compared to areas having lesser rainfall. The growth of vegetation is also dependent on the sunlight received and the soil. Due to heavier rainfall in the Southern slopes of Himalayan regions, these areas are covered with thick vegetation as compared to Northern slopes of the same hills.
