Solution

“O” blood group:

  1. The individual with blood group “O” are called universal donors.
  2. They can donate to any blood group type i.e the A+ve, B+ve, AB+ve and O+ve.
  3. They do not have any antigens i.e the A, B or Rh antigens but have both i.e anti-A and anti-B antibodies and because of this, they can donate to any blood group.

A or B blood group:

  1. The blood group A and B contains antigens A and B respectively.
  2. These antigens present in the A and B blood groups can recognize antibodies present in blood group “O” and can destroy them and resulting in blood transfusion reactions.
  3. To avoid the blood transfusion reactions the blood group “O” can not take blood from A or B.
