Why can't the polar molecules pass through the lipid bilayer? What does it have to do with the hydrophobic nature of inner layer of the plasma membrane?

Head part - Polar end or hydrophilic end & Tail part- non-polar end or hydrophobic end . So polar molecule cannot pass through the lipid bilayer.
