Dear student After 1760, charges of corruption was brought against the Company rule. The enemies of Clive back at home declared Clive to be ‘traitor’. Two parliamentary committees uncovered the facts of corruption among the company's servants, and this set off an attack on Clive as the instigator of the whole process. The bitter experience along with his weak health was the drove him to commit suicide. Regards
