Why did the stone & feather falls in a same rate of acceleration, on sucking the air in the gas jar ?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
#Assumption: The masses of the stone and feather are same.
The acceleration due to gravity is constant and same of all objects falling on earth. Since the air is sucked out, the resistance due to the opposing forces or upthrust of air is absent. Thus, stone and feather fall at same rate of acceleration.
