Question

Why didn't the alpha rays(positivelycharged) get neutral when they strike the gold foil, because there are negatively charged electrons also in the atom?

Solution

Alpha particles do not get neutralised because they do not react with electrons of the gold particles. The gold foil consisted of gold atoms that were neutral (no. of protons = no. of electrons). Alpha particles just interact with the neutral atoms a whole and it was concluded that the entire mass of the atom is concentrated at the centre.
