Why division of labour is not seen unicellular organisms?

As in higher organisms division of labour takes place among different organs, in unicellular organisms several cell organelles like mitochondria, ribosome etc perform different function. Division of labour takes place among cell organelles in unicellular organism. For example, mitochondria are responsible for respiration, contractile vacuoles act as digestive system, lysosome as excretory system etc.
