Why do we need two eyes not a one eye?

Two eyes extend four major advantages.

1. It gives a spare eye in case one is damaged.
2. It gives a wide field of view over 200 degrees in most Humans.
3. It gives a binocular image in which to compare and to detect faint objects.
4. It gives a stereo parallax with two eyes in a slight different position and angle on the head to simulate depth perception.

This is what called as stereopsis. This the reason why human being has two eyes instead of one eye. ... Only withtwo eyes, you could enjoy larger field of vision and most importantly, depth of vision, binocular vision and stereopsis.
