Metals are used as cooking utensils due to their following property -
Thermal Conductivity - The property of a substance by which it allows heat to pass through it.
High melting point - Metals generally have a very melting point and do not melt on regular heating.
Malleability - The property of the substance by which it can be beaten into thin sheets
Metals are the best conductor of heat thus the heat provided from the source will be quickly transferred to food.
Metals are used because they are hard and can be moulded into different shapes for utensils.
They have a very high melting point and hence will not melt when heated on a fire.
