Solution
Wind-pollinated flowers produce a large number of pollen grains
The wind pollinating plants produce numerous light weighted pollen grains so that they can easily be blown by the air and may cause cross-pollination between different plants belonging to the same species.
The wind pollinating plants does not possess showy and beautiful flowers which may attract the insect, bird or animal pollinators thus the pollination task is accomplished by the wind agent.
Plants such as maize, wheat, grass, palm and pine are pollinated by wind.
