Blood pressure is said to be the force exerted by the blood against the arteries.
The normal range of blood pressure is 90 – 120 / 60 – 80 mm Hg.
Here 120, is the systolic pressure and 80 is the diastolic pressure.
Blood flow to the downstream capillaries is reduced as a result of arterioles narrowing or constricting, which raises resistance.
The dilatation of arterioles increases blood flow to the downstream capillaries, and some reduction in blood pressure causes a decrease in resistance.
Therefore, there is a blood pressure drop in the capillaries due to the dilatation of arterioles, which increases blood flow to the downstream capillaries.
