Why does it sometimes take months for a fracture to heal?

Open in App
Solution

A broken bone and the damaged surrounding soft tissue need a minimum of six to eight weeks to heal. Depending on your general health and the condition of the bone and soft tissue, healing can take a long time. Osteoporotic bones take longer time to heal than the normal bones.
