Question

Why does the tiger ignore the visitors?

Open in App
Solution

The tiger walks the length of his cage in the zoo but since it’s a very small space, he can barely take a few steps. If he were free, he would have roamed the jungles in search of prey or frightened villagers who live at the edge of the jungle. However, he is imprisoned in a cage. His strength and might have also been imprisoned, so he is utterly helpless. He chooses to ignore the visitors because they mean nothing to him and he knows that he cannot expect anything from them.
