Question

Why gas can not be transferred completely from one vessel to another?

Open in App
Solution

The gas molecules have very high kinetic energy and they are in continuous and very fast random movement. So it is not possible to transfer all the gas molecules completely from one vessel to another.

During transferring they randomly move here and there and also diffuses to the vessel from where we want them to transfer.
