Why hydrogen occurs in diatomic form?

Atomic Hydrogen is monatomic. Hydrogen has only one electrons so it can form diatomic molecule only.

Now as we know atoms do not exist in free state, they are always present in the form of molecules.

Hence in normal conditions Hydrogen also exist as diatomic molecule.
