Why is adernal gland called an emergency gland and 3 F gland ?

Adrenal called as the gland of emergency because they release Adrenaline hormone which is called a emergency hormone, When adrenaline is secreted into the blood it prepares our body for action. It speeds up heart beat and breathing, raises blood pressure and allows more glucose(Carbohydrate) to go into the blood to give us lot of energy quickly to run or fight. Additionally it is secreted in the body when body is under severe physical/emotional stress or depression. It helps us to deal with emergency situation by generating more energy in the body, thatswhy Adrenaline is called an Emergency Hormone. And Adrenal glands are called Glands of Emergency.

Epinephrine is called 3F (it maks is fright, fight & flight) hormone and adrenal gland that produces this hormone is called 3F gland.
