Question

Why is it difficult for trees to fall down during heavy winds?

Open in App
Solution

It is difficult to uproot the trees during wind because their roots are securely planted in the ground. Roots of big trees are so firmly fixed in the soil that they hold the trees and protect them against strong winds. During heavy wind and rainfall, the branches and the leaves of the trees might fall but the root holds the trees firmly in the ground.
