  1. Nitrous oxide, often known as laughing gas, nitrous, or nos, is a nitrogen-based chemical molecule having the formula N2O.
  2. It is a colorless, non-flammable gas with a mildly sweet fragrance and taste at room temperature.

Nature:

  1. Neutral oxides are those that have neither basic nor acidic characteristics when they react with water.
  2. Carbon monoxide and Nitrous oxide are two examples of gases that are only partially soluble in water, and nitric oxide is also referred to as neutral oxide.
  3. Nitrous oxide abuse can result in a variety of symptoms.
  4. Some of them are personality changes, mental disorders, impulsive and aggressive behavior, hallucinations, delusions, and other psychotic symptoms.

Hence, Nitrous oxide is neutral.
