Why is packaging called a silent salesman?
Packaging is called a silent salesman because:
(i) Packaging on the product attracts attention, describes the product features and creates a favourable impression on potential customers.
(ii) Packaging conveys distinct identities and features of the product directly.
(iii) Packaging reflects the importance of consumer affluence or their willingness to pay relatively more for convenience, dependability, and prestige.
(iv) Packaging is able to differentiate one product from other competing products by itself through branding.
