Why is Sc3+ colourless while Ti3+ coloured ? (Atomic number Sc=21,Ti=22)

Electronic configuration of 21Sc3+ is [Ar]3d0 and 22Ti3+ is [Ar]3d1. Therefore, due to absence of unpaired electron Sc3+ is colourless and due to presence of one unpaired electron d−d transition takes hence Ti3+ is coloured.
