why is sieving more suitable method for the sepration of bran from wheat flour than handpicking

Here the method of hand-picking can't be used because it's difficult to separate so small particles like wheat grains and it will take a lot of time with this process of hand-picking. Sieving is easier method to separate two substances of different sizes, and also saves a lot of time.

The better method however to do the work would be winnowing because in winnowing we can separate a lot of husk and get a huge amount of wheat grains.
