Sunlight is essential for our survival. The importance of sunlight is immense. It helps us directly and indirectly. Some of them are:
1. Sunlight helps plants to carry the process of photosynthesis.
2. Sunlight is essential for Vitamin D production in our body.
3. It provides warmth, protection from cold, light, etc.
In your Biology class, you have studied a common experiment to show the importance of sunlight for photosynthesis.
Take two potted plants. Keep one plant in a dark room that is lightproof and the other plant outside where it gets enough sunlight and air. After a few days, you will observe that the plant which was kept in a dark room dried and leaves have shed whereas the one that was kept outdoors showed proper growth and development. This experiment shows the importance of sunlight for the proper growth and development of green plants.
