Solution

Cells are living entities. They contain a jelly like matrix called the cytoplasm. The cytoplasm contains organelles, enzymes, proteins, stored reserved food and waste.
It contains genetic material in the form of DNA, that may or may not be enclosed in a nuclear envelope.
The genetic material governs all the activities of the cell.
The cell with the help of various organelles and other components of the cytoplasm performs metabolism, undergoes growth and differentiation and is also capable of reproduction.
