Lipids do not form polymers because polymers are composed of long chains of small monomeric units having similar molecules arranged in the form of a long chain structure. Lipids are made up of fatty acids and glycerol molecules which contain non-similar units and do not form a continuous repetitive chain of monomers. Thus, the lipids do not contain monomer units and hence cannot form a polymer.
