Why some forests were classified as reserved forests?

Dear Student,

Forests containing animal species which are endangered are classified as reserved forests. To protect that animal from extinction the entire ecosystem that is required to support that animal needs to be preserved. Hence, forests containing that animal is preserved. Here any kind of human activity like hunting, grazing are prohibited.
