Solution

Dear student. During the 17th and 18th centuary, merchants persuaded the peasants and artisans in the countryside to produce goods for them to produce for an international market.with the expansion of world trade and aquisition of colonies in diff. parts of the world, the demand for goods began growing. But new merchants could not establish business in town because the rulers had given certain trade guilds the monopoly rights to trade in certain products. So, the merchants set up their trade in countryside.
