There was a shortage of modern arms with the rebels.
The British suppressed the revolt with cruelty and killed the rebels in the most inhuman way.
Sometimes they hanged the bodies of the rebels from the trees in the village.
They also tied rebels to the mouths of the cannons and blew them.
