Why whenever - 5 is a zero of a polynomial f(x) then x+5 is its factor?

Solution

If we are given that x+5 is the factor of polynomial , so we will set x+5=0
when we will subtract both sides by 5 we will get

x+5-5=0-5
x= -5 so this way we got zero as x=-5 .
