Solution

  1. Static equilibrium is the maintenance of the proper head position, which response to changes in linear motion as walking.
  2. Dynamic equilibrium is the maintenance of the proper head position, which responds to changes in rotational motion such as turning.
  3. The inner ear contains the vestibule and semicircular canals that regulate the equilibrium and balance of the body.
  4. The vestibule which contain utriculus and sacculus.
  5. Both have the sensory organ, i.e., the macula, that makes the brain aware of the linear acceleration and helps the body in static equilibrium.
  6. The semicircular canal is three in number and is placed in three different directions, and contains a sensory organ crista.
  7. The cristae make the brain aware of angular acceleration for dynamic equilibrium.

Final Answer:

Static balance - Utriculus and sacculus (inner ear)

Hearing - Internal ear

Dynamic balance - Semicircular canals (inner ear)
