Original Jurisdiction of the Supreme Court:
  • Disputes between the Government of India ​and one or more states​
  • Disputes between two or more states of ​the Union of India​
  • Disputes between the Union and any state, as well as disputes between other states
  • Suits involving Fundamental Rights​ and​ interpretation of the Constitution​
Power of Judicial Review:
  • The Supreme Court has the power to review or ​examine any law passed by the legislature.​
  • If the law passed by the legislature contradicts any provision of the Constitution, ​the Supreme Court can declare it null and void.​
