Adaptation is centered on an organism's ability to change its physical and chemical makeup to adjust to its habitat or environment. Thus, enabling them to hunt, survive and reproduce more efficiently. Adaptation takes long time to achieve as it is an evolutionary process and usually affects the whole group to which the organism belongs. Acclimatization is a form of adaptation that an organism undergoes when transferred to a different habitat or when an organism adjusts to new changes in its environment; such as change in temperature, humidity, photoperiod, or pH etc. and It doesn’t take as long as evolutionary adaptation and it doesn’t affect the entire species.
