None of these
Wind winnowing is an agricultural method developed by ancient cultures for separating grain from chaff. It is also used to remove weevils or other pests from stored grain. In its simplest form, it involves throwing the mixture into the air so that the wind blows away the lighter chaff, while the heavier grains fall down for recovery. Since it is done manually, it is a tedious process.
The process of loosening of grains or seeds from the husks and straw is called threshing. It is a preliminary step in chaff removal, which is done before winnowing. There is no fodder loss in the process of traditional winnowing. However, modern equipments used for threshing cause subsequent fodder loss.
