Crop Climatic Conditions Temperature and Rainfall Soil
Rice It requires hot and wet climatic conditions. Rice requires high temperature above 200C-350C and high rainfall between 150 to 300 cm. Alluvial, fertile clayey and loamy soil
Wheat It requires a cool climate. It requires temperature ranging between 100C to 150C during sowing and 20-250C during harvests. About 80 cm of rainfall is ideal for wheat cultivation Well-drained Alluvial and loamy soil is suitable for the growth of wheat.
Tea Moderate climate with high humidity Temperature: 240C to 300C. Rainfall: 150 cm well distributed throughout the year. well-drained loamy soil and forest soil rich in humus
Coffee Warm climate Temperature: 150C to 280C. Rainfall: between 150 cm to 200 cm Rich well-drained friable loamy soil
