The central metal ion present in this complex is Ni2+. Atomic number of Nickel is 28. Electronic configuration is Ni is [Ar]3d84S2. Electronic configuration is Ni+2 is [Ar]3d84S0. Nickel is sp3 hybridised which results in tetrahedral geometry. Two unpaired electrons are present. Hence, the complex ion is paramagnetic.
