Solution
Answer:
In the 7th century CE, the Nizamshahis of Ahmednagar and the Adilshahis of Bijapur ruled over many cities that are now part of Maharashtra.
Both of these houses belonged to the Deccan Sultanate. The Mughals, a powerful force in northern India, made their mark in Khandesh by establishing their dominion.
Apart from the Adilshahis, Nizamshahis, and Mughals, Maharashtra was home to Siddhis, descendants of individuals who came from East Africa, and Topkars, who got their name from their fancy headgears.
