Brahmo Samaj
a. It was started by Raja Ram Mohan Roy in 1828 in Calcutta.
b. It promoted the idea of universal worship and criticised various religious practises which promotes animal and human sacrifices.
c. It propagated against social evils like sati and caste system and promoted widow remarriage.It propagated for women education.
d. It propagated the idea of human reason which according to Brahmo Samaj is supreme.
e. It did not believed in Vedas and advocated going forward from the Vedas.
Arya Samaj
a. It was started by Dayananda Saraswati on 7 April 1875.
b. It believed in the idea of one God and rejected worship of different ideals.
c. It strongly opposed caste system and other social malpractices. It propagated for women education
d. It considered the Vedas as divine authority and advocated going back to Vedas.
