  • Khudiram Bose was born on 3rd December, 1889,in the Midnapur district of Bengal.
  • His parents passed away when he was very young. He was raised by Satyen Babu, who inspired him to be a revolutionary.
  • He participated in the Non-Cooperation Movement and the burning of foreign clothes.
  • He used to jump into the river Ganga to topple boats carrying salt to break the unfair salt laws.
  • On the 30th of April, 1908, along with Praful Chaki, Khudiram Bose attempted to kill Judge Kingsford by throwing a bomb on his horse carriage.
  • While the judge survived, it killed the wife and daughter of lawyer Kennedy.
  • Praful Chaki had shot himself before the police could arrest him, but Khudiram Bose was captured and hanged at the age of 18.
  • He became the youngest martyr of the nation.
