Solution

Dear Student,

The national Education Movement was to develop an alternate to colonial system of education. The nationalists realised the need to educate the masses in relation to nation first. The pioneers were Haridas, Uma Mukerjee, Bipin chandra Pal. National education was considered as an important way to unify people. It showed the nationalist sentiments. It was not exactly opposed to western education but stressed on the need to have its Indian components.
