The old stone age also known as Paleolithic period was a broad pre-historic period during which stone was widely used to make tools.The period lasted for about 3.4 million years and ended with the advent of metalworking.

Divsions : The divisions of stone age were in Soan (Pakistan),Krishna Valley and Chota Nagpur Plateau.
Tools used :The tools used by humans during stone age were : hand axes, borers , choppers, cleavers, pebbles and flakes.
Living style of early humans : People during stone age were food gatherers and not producers. They ate both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.They used to wear leaves and animal skins and find shelter inside caves.Fire and communication came at the later Paleolithic age.
