Rainwater harvesting:

It is the simple used to preserve rainwater by capturing, storing, transporting, and purifying rainwater for future use on top of buildings, parks, streets, open grounds, and so on.

Components of rainwater harvesting system:

  1. A catchment for collecting and storing the captured rainwater.
  2. A conveyance system for transporting the harvested water from the catchment to the recharge zone.
  3. Flush is used to flush out the first shower of rain.
  4. The filter is used for filtering the collected rainwater and removal of pollutants.
  5. Tanks and the recharge structures are used to store the filtered water.

  4. Availability of the technology
  5. The capacity of the storage tanks
