Solution:

• Earth is the third nearest planet from the Sun and the fifth largest planet in the Solar System.
• It is in the shape of a Geoid. It is bulged at the equator while it is flattened at the Poles.
• Earth is the only planet that is habitable. This is called the Goldilocks Zone or habitable zone as the conditions for life to prosper are found on Earth.
• The Earth appears blue from the Outer Space as 2/3rds of it is covered by oceans.
• The earth has only one natural satellite, the Moon.
