Human shoulder is made up of three types of bones: the clavicle (also known as collarbone), scapula (shoulder blade) and humerus (upper arm bone) as well as also co-ordinated with some muscles, ligaments and tendons. The articulations between the clavicle, scapula and humerus bone from the shoulder joint. In shoulder basically, two type of joints are found – glenohumeral joint, it is the major joint of the shoulder, it is a ball and socket joint formed between the scapula and humerus and the other joint is acromioclavicular joint which is formed between scapula and clavicle. The biggest joint of the shoulder is glenohumeral (ball and socket joint). Ball and socket joint allows the arm to rotate in the circular fashion.
