Azad Gomantak Dal:
Azad Gomantak Dal was formed to liberate the Portuguese Colonies of Dadra and Nagar Haveli in Gujarat. The youths of Azad Gomantak Dal launched an armed attack on 2nd August 1954 and liberated Dadra and Nagar Haveli in Gujarat. Vishwanath Lavande, Rajabhau Wakankar, Sudhir Phadke, and Nanasaheb Kajrekar were part of the attack.
Goa Mukti Samiti:
Goa Mukti Samiti was formed in 1954 and it sent several satyagrahis from Maharashtra to Goa. N.G.Gore, Senapati Bapat, Peter Alvares, Mahadevshastri Joshi and his wife Sudhatai participated in the satyagraha. The Portuguese government ruthlessly tried to suppress the movement. Mohan Ranade adopted aggressive means of protest.
